You can't please all the people all of the time and the decision to reschedule the Vertem Futurity Trophy to Newcastle on Friday evening appears to be a case in point.

It would seem an eminently sensible move to make, keeping both the Newcastle-based sponsors happy and the race within the Arena Racing Company group.

However, based on the reaction of some on social media and elsewhere, one would think the race was being run across a minefield rather than on Tapeta.
