Oisin Murphy admitted to enduring a few sleepless nights before he narrowly held on to secure back-to-back jockeys' titles last week.

The 25-year-old ended the season with 142 winners from 807 rides, signing off with a double at Southwell last Tuesday before heading to Keeneland to partner Kameko in the Breeders' Cup Mile on Saturday.

He finished eight winners clear of his nearest pursuer William Buick, who was unable to ride the double required at Newcastle on Friday to keep the race alive ahead of the season finale the following day.
