Oaks heroine Forever Together to take on elders in Pretty Polly Stakes
Oaks winner Forever Together is 11-10 with Paddy Power to supplement her explosive Epsom victory in the Group 1 Juddmonte Pretty Polly Stakes after Aidan O'Brien confirmed the rapidly improving three-year-old would take on her elders on Sunday at the Curragh.
Forever Together, who shed her maiden tag at Epsom, is set to tackle the 113-rated Coronet, who was second to Enable in last year's Yorkshire Oaks and won on her seasonal reappearance at York.
"We are thinking that Forever Together and Bye Bye Baby will run on Sunday in the Pretty Polly. That is the way we are think at the moment anyway," said O'Brien, who is responsible for eight of the 12 entries, on Tuesday morning.
There is also a provisional field of 12 for Saturday’s Group 2 GAIN Railway Stakes including the highly rated Sergei Prokofiev, who flew home to take third in the Coventry Stakes and British-trained entries Certain Lad and Marie’s Diamond.
"We will give the Ascot horses time and see how they are but the Railway Stakes is a very important race in our calendar and a very prestigious race for us. Hopefully we'll have a few runners.
The Group 2 Comer Group International Curragh Cup could feature Queen Alexandra winner Pallasator and Sound Check, trained in Germany by Peter Schiergen, who was recently awarded the Group 2 International Oleander-Rennen from Nearly Caught, who passed the post first.
