Noel Meade dreaming of festive follow-up with Road To Respect at Leopardstown
Noel Meade is hoping it will be another Christmas to remember with last month’s impressive JNwine.com Champion Chase winner Road To Respect, who will bid for back-to-back successes in the Grade 1 Savills Christmas Chase at Leopardstown on December 28.
In a contest that could also feature the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup favourite Presenting Percy, victory for any one of Meade's three entries – Road To Respect, Disko and Tout Est Permis – would elevate him alongside the race's most successful trainer Michael Hourigan, who won it with Beef Or Salmon three times, Dorans Pride and Deep Bramble.
Road To Respect heads the market at 4-1 along with Presenting Percy, and Meade said: “All is well with him. Everything has been good since Down Royal and we’ve been very happy with him. The plan is to aim him for the Savills Chase.
