Sir Mark Prescott is ready to give Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe heroine Alpinista the chance to crown her remarkable story with victory in the Japan Cup.

The trainer reported the daughter of Frankel to have emerged from her Longchamp triumph in fine shape and said there was no reason not to travel to the Far East for the lucrative contest worth more than £2.3 million to the winner.

Winner of six consecutive Group 1s, Alpinista is the 7-2 favourite for the November 27 contest, which is also the target of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Pyledriver, who missed out on Longchamp with a soft-tissue injury.
