Royal racegoers get buttoned up with Racing Post floral display
Racegoers were on Thursday greeted by a spectacular sight at Royal Ascot: a giant Racing Post flower wall made out of almost 1,000 flowers.
The structure, commissioned by the Racing Post and built by TBR Floral Design, was arranged using 900 white, pink, and hand-painted black and red gerberas, with fashion-savvy racegoers invited to pick a free bespoke buttonhole for the day.
Positioned outside the Pavilion entrance of the famous Berkshire track, the Racing Post's one-of-a-kind display took 80 hours to build and proved a popular destination for racegoers arriving on course as they posed for photographs before taking away a flower to enhance their raceday outfit.
Toby Roberts, founder of TBR Floral Design, said: "I was excited as soon as I was presented with the idea of recreating a Racing Post floral display out of gerberas. We've worked on a number of different projects and this will go down as one of our greatest creations.
"I hope that all of those lucky enough to grab a buttonhole managed to pick some winners, too!"
