Frankel colt Dream Castle to test Guineas claims in Greenham

Frankel offspring could be well represented in the Group 3 JLT Greenham Stakes at Newbury on Saturday week, a race the Sir Henry Cecil-trained superstar himself won before going onto 2,000 Guineas glory in 2011.

Godolphin have indicated that promising Doncaster maiden winner Dream Castle, who was cut to 20-1 (from 50) by William Hill after his Town Moor romp on April 2, could join their recent part acquisition Swiss Storm in the seven-furlong contest.

Dream Castle, a rare Frankel homebred from Sheikh Mohammed's organisation, was unraced as a juvenile but made up for lost time when slamming To Dibba by three and a half lengths on his belated debut for which his home reputation led to him being sent off at 4-7.

Trainer Saeed Bin Suroor, who also won the other division of the same maiden with fellow debutant Benbatl, said: "Dream Castle has been in good form since his win at Doncaster and the next step for him will be the Group 3 trial at Newbury before we think about the 2,000 Guineas.

"Bentbatl, who is by Dubawi, also won nicely at Doncaster and the plan is to run him in the Group 3 Craven Stakes at Newmarket next Thursday."

In January, Godolphin bought out trainer David Elsworth's share in Swiss Storm, impressive winner of a Newbury maiden last September, who is pencilled in to clash with Dream Castle at Newbury.
