Newmarket racegoers caught short ready to go extra golden mile

It seems Cheltenham is not alone in having to deal with the scourge of patrons urinating near the racecourse, with the home of Flat racing also coming under attack.

In September, the local council in Cheltenham requested more toilets be made available on the ‘golden mile’ between the course and town centre, a stretch named after the drunken habits of men relieving themselves as they made the journey.

And it appears Newmarket has also had to clean up after racegoers who have been caught short before getting to the course, with a local volunteer rubbish collection team finding bottles of urine strewn on the approach to the track.
