Following nearly three months of inactivity, the Limekilns were back in play on Saturday morning after 16mm of rain hit the famous training grounds on Thursday.

James Fanshawe’s team were the first to brave the round gallop where the chief interest was the appearance of Kind Of Blue. The Wathnan Racing sprinter looked to be enjoying the return to turf when mixing it with his usual partner Fresh and could not be in better shape for the Group 1 Betfair Sprint Cup at Haydock next Saturday.

Fanshawe had a second batch on the Al Bahathri Polytrack, where former jockey Hayley Turner sported a Fred Archer Racing gilet aboard the syndicate's two-year-old filly Tikka, who looks to have moved forward from her recent debut win at Kempton.
