In a similar mode was the filly Running Lion, who is entered in a Listed race at Haydock on Saturday.
Working to a slightly longer timetable was the unbeaten Ombudsman, who went well over a mile and may start back in the Group 3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown next Thursday. Beyond that, the Godolphin colt is 10-1 for the Group 1 Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot next month.
