Gosden big guns Ombudsman and Field Of Gold in action as their Champions Day preparations intensify

Two of the Clarehaven superstars took to the Limekilns ahead of their runs at Ascot this month

John and Thady Gosden's power pair Ombudsman and Field Of Gold took to the Limekilns on Wednesday for the first time in many months to commence their serious build-up to Qipco Champions Day at Ascot on October 18. 

In what's known in the trade as ‘bridle work’, Gary Forster was first up the round gallop on Champion Stakes hope Ombudsman, who stayed in company with the fellow Godolphin-owned Devil’s Advocate over a mile.

They were soon followed by fellow dual Group 1 winner Field Of Gold (Luke Catton), who breezed the same distance in company with a four-year-old handicapper in prep for the QEII.
