Arc contender takes another step towards Longchamp after being subject to market support

Giavellotto covered a mile under Oisin Murphy on the Limekilns round gallop on Saturday morning ahead of his potential tilt at next week's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
The September Stakes winner has shortened in the betting for the Longchamp Group 1 on account of some forecasts for a dry week in Paris.

Trainer Marco Botti said after the workout: “In theory, from now until next weekend, it looks as if it’s going to be dry over there, and if it’s good ground we ought to let him take his chance.
