Tom Clover: big celebrations last weekend

There was more than one big wedding going on last Saturday with the marriage of trainer Tom Clover to Jackie Jarvis, daughter of the late Michael Jarvis.

Evidently, the Clovers were a bit miffed as they had booked the day even before Harry and Meghan – the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex – had announced the day for their own nuptials at Windsor.

Fortunately, the kick-off times did not clash, with the Clovers tying the knot at 3.45pm, allowing them to watch the royal wedding before heading to the main event at St Agnes' Church on Newmarket's Bury Road, barely two furlongs from Clover's White Yard.
