Uttoxeter to inspect at 7.30am on Saturday
Uttoxeter remains hopeful despite calling an inspection for 7.30am on Saturday due to low temperatures and the overnight forecast.
The going is currently heavy, with the whole course covered by fleeces on Wednesday.
Clerk of the course Charlie Moore reported there was no frost currently in the ground but the forecast for Friday night into Saturday morning suggested an frost is possible.
He said on Friday: "The track is covered in fleece and there is no frost in the ground, we are raceable. It is forecast to be between -1C and -3c tonight then getting up to 2C or 4C on Saturday.
"If we get the best of both worlds then there will be no problem, if we have the worst of both worlds then hopefully the fleece will do its job. We are hopeful."
No problems at Newbury
Newbury's clerk of the course Richard Osgood was upbeat after this weekend's forecast looked a little milder on Thursday as the course prepares to stage the Betfair Hurdle meeting on Saturday.
The official going at the Berkshire track, which is covered, is soft on the hurdles course and soft, good to soft in places on the chase course.
Osgood said on Thursday: "The forecast has improved today and even though we might get a frost it should not be as severe as first thought. Temperatures are forecast to hover around zero degrees for the next two nights so we anticipate no problems."
The whole track has been covered in fleece, while at Warwick the ground is heavy, soft in places.
