Among the Shadwell team out in force to see the final pre-St Leger workout of their progressive grey was assistant racing manager Richard Hills, who won the Doncaster Classic on Mutafaweq in 1999. The recent Chester winner glided up the Al Bahathri with another Group-winning three-year-old in a manner that suggests he won't be far away on Town Moor next Saturday.
