Simply getting into the £1 million Sky Bet Ebor is tricky enough, never mind winning the richest handicap run in Europe.

It is harder than ever to get a run this year as a result of there being double the amount of prize-money on offer compared to 2018.

Three-year-olds have been excluded with concerns that connections may be tempted by the extraordinary riches on offer and it could lead to the quality of Pattern races being diluted.
