Morris looking to Alpinista to silence her critics in top-class Yorkshire Oaks

Jockey Luke Morris is excited by the prospect of proving to a British audience just how good Alpinista is in Thursday's Darley Yorkshire Oaks.

The four-time Group 1 winner has not been seen in Britain since July last year when she won the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks at Haydock. Since then, she has scored three times in Germany and once in France, where she will return in October for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, and Morris is aware some people use that against her.

"It would be fantastic if we can get a domestic Group 1 with her," he said. "People have slightly crabbed her form in the past so fingers crossed she can show just how good she is."
