Three favourites punters are putting faith in at Wolverhampton this evening

Wolverhampton hosts the only meeting this evening and the favourites on the card have been shortening through the day. Here are three of those expected to justify short odds under the lights.

Very Honest (5.15)

Always tempting fate to give a horse a name like this and this six year-old, with three wins from 31 career races, has cheekpieces added after her short-head defeat by the in-form Deeds Not Words at Lingfield last week. She likes to lead and Adam Kirby nearly delivered in that style last time so a repeat ride looks likely from stall four.

Mount Ararat (6.45)

Strongly backed from evens despite not racing since last July and having been gelded, this four-year-old has gone close in all his three career starts. The last was in a Listed race at Compiegne when he was doing all his best work at the end of the 10-furlong trip.

Bollihope (7.45)

Early birds secured evens about this seven-year-old against 12 rivals, expecting a repeat of his course-and-distance win last week, gained in runaway fashion under Rab Havlin (31 per cent strike-rate in last two weeks), who makes the trip to the Midlands for his only ride. That was his first run for Shaun Keightley and a five-length defeat of the reopposing False Id is countered by just a 6lb penalty.
