The market suggests Willie Mullins can finally break his duck in the BoyleSports Irish Grand National Chase (5.00 Fairyhouse) with Burrows Saint being heavily backed into clear favourite at 6-1 (from 10).

Burrows Saint, the choice of Ruby Walsh from the seven-strong Mullins battalion, faces his sternest test but has looked the part in winning his last two starts over fences.

Any Second Now had been vying for favouritism last night but the Kim Muir winner has drifted out to 12-1 (from 9).

Fellow JP McManus-owned contender Shady Operator has been another key mover in the betting, having usurped Any Second Now in most lists with his odds cut to 10-1 second-favourite (from 20).

At bigger prices, Gun Digger – sporting the yellow cap among 12 runners for Gigginstown House Stud in the field of 30 – has attracted support at 16-1 (from 20).

Other key market movers on Monday

Sinakar 4-1 (from 12)
1.40 Huntingdon
On a busy bank holiday, the layers could be on the back foot as early as the first race of the afternoon as Sinakar has been the subject of strong support. The Kerry Lee-trained eight-year-old has shown little in two starts this season but clearly an improved show is expected with cheekpieces applied for the first time.

Country 6-5 (from 2)
1.55 Redcar
William Haggas has an excellent overall strike-rate of 38 per cent (12-32) at Redcar in the last five years, which remains at a healthy 33 per cent when booking the services of Danny Tudhope. The pair team up with Country in the mile novice stakes and the Dubawi colt looks poised to build on the promise of his Doncaster debut in a race won by the useful Fox Champion.

Setting Sail 10-11 (from 5-6)
5.35 Wolverhampton
There might only be two Flat meetings on a jumps-dominated day but it is still interesting to note William Buick travels to Wolverhampton just to ride Setting Sail for Charlie Appleby. The leading duo have strong claims of improving their 54 per cent strike-rate when combining at the track with this lightly raced son of Dansili in the novice stakes.
