All you need to know as Irish Graded action starts the month in style

Credit: Louise Pollard

The best action on Monday comes from Roscommon in the shape of the Grade 3 Ballymore Irish EBF Novice Chase (4.15). Champion trainer Willie Mullins relies on Cadmium, who was an impressive winner at the Punchestown festival in April and here in June but needs to bounce back from a disappointing performance at the Galway festival last time.

Jumping action also takes place at Newton Abbot with an interesting four-runner handicap the feature (4.00). The Jonjo O'Neill-trained I'dliketheoption and Peter Bowen's Ontopoftheworld are both seeking a hat-trick in the 2m event.

Kempton stages an eight-race card with Hugo Palmer's Corrosive the leading name in the feature event (7.45). Flat racing also takes place at Catterick and Bath.
