Miracle transformation as unraced point-to-pointer doubles in age

A curious case has emerged from the Turf Club of a horse not being allowed to run in a point-to-point because he wasn't who he was meant to be, but since then he has – sort of – morphed into who he was meant to be.

It isn't unknown for referrals hearings at Turf Club headquarters on the Curragh to leave interested spectators confused, although on this occasion the unusual outcome was pretty benign.

A committee chaired by Sean Barry held an inquiry into the possible mistaken identity of Eddies Miracle, who was supposed to make his debut for Wexford trainer Gordon Doyle at Dromahane last May.
