Advertise, a notable absentee from the potential runners for Saturday's Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket, will step up to seven furlongs for the first time in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes at the same course next month, said trainer Martyn Meade on Tuesday.

Winner of the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh on his last start, Advertise should appreciate the extra furlong according to Meade, who said: "We always saw the Dewhurst as the ideal race for him. I can't imagine we'll see him over six furlongs again.

"We've given him a nice break since his last run and he should be all the better for it. I never like to overrun my horses."
