When you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go - though there was no convincing stewards at Randwick in Australia for Kerrin McEvoy.

The prolific Group 1-winning rider, who landed the opening race at the Shergar Cup aboard Robert Cowell’s Secretinthepark last year, jumped off his mount and into the stalls to relieve himself before the second race on Saturday, and consequently picked up a $500 fine after pleading guilty to the misconduct charge.

The stalls were positioned in front of the stands for the 1m4f race - with racegoers getting an eyeful and more than they bargained for - while stewards understandably later told McEvoy it was a bad look for the sport.
