Luckless rider faces four to six weeks out after Fairyhouse fall

Gigginstown House Stud are set to call upon their substitutes yet again after confirming on Sunday that their retained rider Bryan Cooper faces a minimum of four weeks on the sidelines.

The Turf Club's chief medical adviser Dr Adrian McGoldrick gave an update on Cooper's condition in the latest in an increasingly long line of injuries, saying: "Bryan has a fractured right forearm and was operated on at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown by Paddy Kenny. He will be out for four to six weeks."

Cooper has endured a luckless time and had been back race-riding for only a few weeks following the chest and abdominal injuries he suffered after a fall on Tiger Roll at this year's Galway festival.
