Frankel's sons and daughters have been making a huge impact on British and French tracks this season, and Lightening Fast will bid to uphold family honour in Ireland at the Curragh on Saturday afternoon.

To date there have been eight juvenile runners sired by Frankel to make the track in his first season as a stallion, and only one of those has failed to win. Lightening Fast is the first progeny of Frankel to race in Ireland and is trained by Ger Lyons for Qatar Racing. He starts his career in the 7f Darley European Breeders Fund Maiden (2.55).
