Light Infantry on the march back to France on the first leg of a world tour

To France and beyond

David Simcock is planning to send his top three-year-old Light Infantry back to France next weekend to take on the European elite in the Group 1 Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville.

The son of Fast Company, runner-up in the Prix Jean Prat at the Normandy track last month, looked up for the challenge under the trainer’s wife Jennie on the Cambridge Road Polytrack on Saturday morning.

Beyond France, Light Infantry is being pointed towards an ambitious tilt at the A$10 million Golden Eagle at Rosehill in Australia on October 29. Others of note from Trillium Place included recent recruit Traila, an 82,000gns purchase out of the Sir Michael Stoute yard.
