Leading players stand their ground at Arc forfeit stage

Ulysses remains on course for the Arc
1 of 1

There were no significant absentees on Monday morning as 20 runners stood their ground at the latest forfeit stage for Sunday's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

Enable, a general 4-5 shot to cap a wonderful season with glory at Chantilly, did not feature among Monday's list as connections will have to supplement her on Wednesday at a cost of €120,000.

Aidan O'Brien, who once again has a chance to break Bobby Frankel's record of 25 Group/Grade 1 winners in a calendar year, is responsible for seven of the 20 runners, with a clash between Oaks heroine Enable and 1,000 Guineas winner Winter still on.

Winter is joined by stablemates Highland Reel, Order Of St George, Idaho, Seventh Heaven, Cliffs Of Moher and St Leger winner Capri.

Sir Michael Stoute's Coral-Eclipse and Juddmonte International hero Ulysses also features, as does Japan's Satono Diamond, who disappointed when fourth of six in the Prix Foy this month. Travelling companion Satono Noblesse is also in the list.

Andre Fabre leads the home defence with three runners – Doha Dream, Cloth Of Stars and Plumatic – while Alain de Royer-Dupre has Zarak and One Foot In Heaven.

Brametot, Silverwave and Left Hand will also represent France, while Germany will send two runners, Prix Foy winner Dschingis Secret and Group 1 winner Iquitos.
