Leading Cazoo Oaks contender Teona is likely to have the help of a first-time hood at Epsom next week after a scintillating workout in the headgear in Newmarket on Tuesday morning.

The Roger Varian-trained filly, who often wears a hood at home, raced very freely without it when finishing only third to Snowfall in her Epsom warm-up in the Group 3 Musidora Stakes at York, with fellow Oaks possible Noon Star in second.

Teona, who had been 5-1 second favourite for the Oaks before that reversal, immediately drifted to twice those odds in the aftermath but has been supported back into 7-1 joint-third favourite in recent days alongside her stablemate, Cheshire Oaks second Zeyaadah.
