What's on this week: stars on show at the three-day Cambridgeshire meeting

Monday

A week with a good spread of quality throughout starts with Listed action at Fairyhouse where title-chasing jockeys Donnacha O'Brien and Colin Keane clash in the Blenheim Stakes (5.10) aboard Pistoletto and Soul Search respectively.

A busy day in Britain features meetings at Leicester, Hamilton, Warwick and Kempton in the evening.

Tuesday

A day with something for everyone with Flat meetings at Beverley, Lingfield and Chelmsford and a jumps card at Warwick.

Evergreen sprinter Duke Of Firenze has been declared at Beverley and would be a popular winner of the 5f conditions stakes (3.35).

Wednesday

A decent midweek meeting is in store at Goodwood where the highlight is the £45,000 Listed Foundation Stakes (3.40). The latest optional claiming handicap takes place on the card and should provide a decent betting heat.

Perth begins its two-day fixture with a £30,000 handicap chase (3.50), which could feature Topofthecotswolds who is on a four-timer for Nigel Twiston-Davies.

Thursday

Newmarket's three-day Cambridgeshire meeting starts with an eight-race card headlined by the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes (3.35). The supporting Listed Rose Bowl Stakes (4.10) might be contested by last year's Northumberland Plate and Cesarewitch winner Withhold, who finished mid-division in last month's Ebor.

The pick of the action in Ireland comes at Gowran Park, with a Group 3 for fillies over 1m1½f (4.15).

Friday

The Joel Stakes and Rockfel Stakes – both Group 2s – top the bill on the second day at Newmarket. King Of Comedy, who was fourth in the Juddmonte International at York, is ante-post favourite for the Joel (3.35), while Royal Ascot winner Daahyeh heads the market for the Rockfel (3.00).

Haydock stages the other afternoon Flat meeting in Britain and in the evening there is Group 3 action on the all-weather at Dundalk in the Diamond Stakes (7.45).

Saturday

The first leg of the autumn double takes place at Newmarket with the unique sight of more than 30 horses charging down the Rowley Mile in the Cambridgeshire (3.40). The meeting also features two Group 1s with the Middle Park Stakes (3.00) and Cheveley Park Stakes (2.25) offering potential clues for next year's 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas.

A pair of valuable handicaps at Haydock are set to support the ITV4 action and the Curragh stages a card containing two Group 3s, the Renaissance Stakes and Loughbrown Stakes.

Sunday

Aidan O'Brien will be looking to maintain his incredible domination of the Group 2 Beresford Stakes (4.00) at the Curragh, for which his early entries include 2020 Investec Derby second favourite Mogul. O'Brien won the race for the 18th time last year with Japan.

There could be Derby clues in Britain as well as Epsom's fixture features the Derby 'Wild Card' Conditions Stakes, a two-year-old mile contest which offers automatic entry to next year's Classic. Trainer Mark Johnston has won the last two runnings with Persian Moon and Dee Ex Bee.
