Without Order Of St George to fear, Twilight Payment made it third time lucky in the Saval Beg Levmoss Stakes with hot favourite Capri disappointing in third.

Jim Bolger's six-year-old was forced to settle for second behind Aidan O'Brien's star stayer in the last two runnings, but under a clever ride by Kevin Manning the 6-1 shot held on to beat the fast-finishing Falcon Eight.

Bolger said: "I was expecting a good run. My better horses have been running well over the last number of weeks so any little step up on that was going to be helpful.

"Capri's run at Navan last time [fifth in the Vintage Crop] meant that there was always hope. The Curragh Cup will be a target and he handles any ground."

Twilight Payment is still seeking a first Group success, despite finishing second at that level on three occasions.

Capri looked to be going well as they turned for home but Donnacha O'Brien's mount failed to pick up. He was pushed out to 20-1 (from 10) for the Gold Cup.

Falcon Eight, who made eyecatching late ground on only his fourth start, was shortened to 20-1 (from 33) for the Royal Ascot showpiece.
