Trainer and jockeys to star in charity polo match
A charity polo match involving trainers and jockeys will form part of the 2018 International Ladies Polo Tournament at the All Ireland Polo Club in Dublin's Phoenix Park on Saturday in aid of the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund.
The teams for the trainers versus jockeys match will be managed by Jessica Harrington and Noel Meade and captained by Kate Harrington and Paul Carberry. Other well-known names expected to compete include Nina Carberry, Barry Geraghty, Davy Russell, Patrick Mullins, Charlie Swan, Lisa O'Neill, Sean Flanagan and Tracy Piggott.
Gates open at 11.45 with the first match schedule for 12.0.
A fundraiser lunch in the All Ireland Polo Clubhouse will see guests enjoy a champagne reception to live jazz music, a sumptuous four-course lunch followed by a BBQ and evening music and dancing into the night. Early Bird tickets are €130 and are available at ladiespolo.ie
