Three runners who catch the eye at Dundalk and Newcastle
Dundalk and Newcastle provide this evening's action. Here are three horses to keep an eye on.
Seeusoon
5.20 Newcastle
The Andrew Balding-trained colt was very green on his debut when finishing last at Chelmsford but then produced a better effort at Kempton when fourth in a novice. He seemed to appreciate the step up to a mile and a half at Kempton, which is not a surprise based on his pedigree as he is a half-brother to Group 3 winner Kings Fete who was at his best over middle distances.
Sauron's Eye
6.45 Dundalk
Sauron's Eye was a respectable fifth of 13 on debut at this track last month and bids to improve on that here for owners David Spratt and Sean Jones.
The three-year-old was a 28,000gns purchase at the breeze-up sales last year and is a half-brother to the 88-rated, multiple winner The Throstles.
Star Cracker
8.00 Newcastle
Jim Goldie's course-and-distance winner returns to the track off a 2lb lower mark than when he won in November. The seven-year-old was a respectable second over course and distance last time and has obvious claims based on the pick of his form.
