Stable switch: Presenting Percy moved to Gordon Elliott
Owner Philip Reynolds has shuffled the ace in his pack by transferring dual Cheltenham Festival winner Presenting Percy to Gordon Elliott from Pat Kelly.
An emphatic winner of the 2018 RSA Insurance Novices' Chase, a year on from landing the Pertemps Final at the festival, Presenting Percy won ten of his 23 starts for Kelly but has proved disappointing in the past two seasons.
Despite lining up for the Gold Cup in 2019 off the back of just one winning run over hurdles that season, Presenting Percy was sent off the 100-30 favourite but could only manage eighth behind Al Boum Photo.
The nine-year-old fell behind the same rival in last season's edition of the race, which proved to be his last start for Kelly.
Reynolds said: "It has been a very difficult decision but now is the right time for a change."
He added: "Pat and I remain friends and I will be forever grateful to him. The horses [eight] will go to a few guys who already train for me, with Percy joining Gordon."
Presenting Percy has won over £300,000 in total prize-money, with back-to-back Grade 2 Galmoy Hurdle wins at Gowran Park in 2018 and 2019 the highlights of his career away from Cheltenham.
