Plenty to see online as Henry Cecil Open Weekend goes virtual for 2020
The Henry Cecil Open Weekend in Newmarket goes virtual for 2020 on Saturday and Sunday with free-to-view action from John Gosden, Godolphin, William Haggas and James Fanshawe among others.
Instead of the usual £15 wristband, viewers enjoying the footage are encouraged to donate at with all money raised going to Racing Welfare, the British Racing School and the Racing Centre.
ITV Racing's Oli Bell has filmed stable tours with 12 of the town's top trainers, while chairman Charlie Fellowes and fellow trainer George Scott get the inside track on each other's yards in a first 'Stable Swap'.
Additionally, there are action shots of Gosden putting his stable stars through their paces on Warren Hill with exclusive updates on Enable as she prepares for another crack at a third Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
The popular Clipper Logistics Show Jumping competition is also still a key part of the two-day event and features top Flat jockeys Andrea Atzeni, Josephine Gordon, David Egan and Adam Kirby taking on the jumps.
Fellowes said: "Despite being unable to hold the Henry Cecil Open Weekend in its usual format this year, we're thrilled that we're still able to showcase some of Newmarket's finest equine sites."
