Pinatubo will face ten rivals in his bid for a first win as a three-year-old when he lines up in the Qatar Prix Jean Prat over seven furlongs at Deauville on Sunday.

The Godolphin star will be attempting to add to his two Group 1 victories from last season in the National Stakes and the Dewhurst, and is joined by stablemate Well Of Wisdom in a race won 12 months ago by Too Darn Hot,.

Aidan O'Brien will be doubly represented, with St James's Palace Stakes sixth Arizona, the mount of Ryan Moore dropping back in trip and joined by stablemate Lope Y Fernandez, who will be partnered by Ioritz Mendizabal.

Roger Varian's Jersey Stakes winner Molatham steps into Group 1 company for the first time and the British challenge is further strengthened by Kinross for Ralph Beckett and the Marco Botti-trained Malotru.

Andre Fabre saddles Alson and Tropbeau, who finished third and fourth in the French 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas respectively, while Prix Texanita winner Wooded will be partnered by Christophe Soumillon.

The unbeaten Middle Park winner Earthlight also makes his seasonal reappearance on the card in the Listed Prix Kistena over six furlongs, a race which also features the Martyn Meade-trained Additional.
