Online sportsbook and casino operator MustardBet to cease trading
Online sportsbook and casino operator MustardBet announced on Monday that they had ceased taking bets less than three years after launching.
MustardBet attempted to appeal to punters whose bets may have been limited with other bookmakers by claiming that winning accounts would not be closed when launching its sportsbook.
However, a statement released via the company's Twitter account confirmed that no further bets are to be taken.
Outstanding balances are to be returned within 72 hours according to the statement, while the operator said they planned to settle any unsettled bets as winners.
It also stated that the MustardBet website would be available for a further 28 days before ceasing on November 11, although it appeared to be disabled on Monday.
The statement read: "With deep regret we must announce that MustardBet has ceased taking bets. All customer balances will be returned to the card we hold on file within 72 hours.
"If we are unable to return balances, we will contact customers by email and telephone within the next 28 days to find alternative means.
"All unsettled customer bets will be settled as winners unless a customer has multiple bets on the same event. In these cases the customer will receive their best possible outcome, with their most profitable selection being settled as a winner and any other selections settled as losers."
The statement called for customer queries to be made via email at support@mustardbet.com or via the live chat facility which can still be accessed at mustardbet.com.
