One trainer, one jockey, one horse and one race to watch on Saturday

Trainer

Kim Bailey has enjoyed a tremendous season and he could have a big day with stable stars Charbel and Rocky's Treasure set to run at Kempton and Warwick respectively.

Charbel, who landed a deserved first Graded success in the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon last month, has always been the apple of his trainer's eye and heads a small but select field in the Listed 32Red Casino Chase (2.05).

With several exciting novices waiting in the wings, this could be a weekend for Bailey to cement his festival squad.

Saturdays wouldn't be the same without Bryony Frost and the jockey is reunited with her beloved 'Blackie' (Black Corton) at Kempton, the scene of the pair's greatest triumph in last season's Kauto Star Novices' Chase.

Frost, who also landed the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup on Frodon this season, has a good rapport with trainer Neil King too, and rides Canyon City in the Lanzarote Hurdle (2.40).

Horse

Birchdale looked an exciting prospect when cruising to an easy victory over stablemate Clarendon Street at Warwick last month and he bids to make it two out two over hurdles for JP McManus and Nicky Henderson in the Grade 2 Leamington Novices' Hurdle (2.25).

The form of his last race has been franked since, with both the runner-up and third-placed horses winning, but stablemate Rathhill failed to justify favouritism last weekend in the Tolworth when a warm favourite. The five-year-old faces his toughest test to date but has a bright future.

The Listed Hampton Novices' Chase (1.50) at Warwick has attracted a field of only four but the quality of the runners is undeniable.

Rocky's Treasure, winner of four of his five starts over fences, only found RSA favourite Santini too good in a Grade 2 at Newbury at the start of December and will bid to build on his last-time-out Graded victory at Doncaster.

Last year's Albert Bartlett runner-up Ok Corral, a winner on his chasing debut at Plumpton, will be ridden by leading amateur Derek O'Connor.

The Colin Tizzard White Moon and Secret Investor, last seen finishing second behind Bags Groove at Wincanton, complete the line-up.
