Oisin Murphy regained the lead in the jockeys' title standings on Monday evening after riding a 117-1 four-timer at Ffos Las.

Murphy started the day two winners behind previous leader Danny Tudhope but now leads by two in the title tussle that comes to a close on October 19.

Successful in the Falmouth Stakes on the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Veracious earlier this month, Murphy landed the opening race at the Welsh track on the Archie Watson-trained Perfect Charm before following up on evens favourite Berlin Tango in the 7f novice contest.

Rod Millman's Handytalk obliged for the 2014 champion apprentice in the 6f handicap before Murphy used every ounce of his skill to drive Toshima home in a thrilling finish to the 2m handicap.

The Robert Stephens-trained stayer looked to be outpaced in the home straight but rallied strongly to prevail by a length.
