Enable will head a 'magnificent seven' from the John Gosden stable at the Tattersalls-sponsored gallops event on Warren Hill on Sunday, the traditional curtain raiser to day two of the Henry Cecil Open Weekend in Newmarket.

The ten-time Group 1 winner will be joined between 8-9am by stablemates Logician, recent winner of the St Leger, and champion stayer Stradivarius, as well as top fillies Coronet, Enbihaar, Lah Ti Dar and Terebellum.

This year’s open weekend has been renamed to celebrate the life of the late, great Sir Henry Cecil.

The three-year partnership, backed by a group of Cecil's previous owners, is committed to supporting the development and welfare of young people working in the racing industry. Beneficiaries are Racing Welfare, Racing Centre and the British Racing School.

In all, 21 trainers are set to open their doors to the public from 9am until 12.30pm, including: Roger Varian, Amy Murphy, Hugo Palmer, Richard Spencer, David Simcock, George Scott, James Fanshawe, George Boughey, David Lanigan, Charlie Fellowes and Sir Mark Prescott.

As well as a host of yards opening along the Hamilton Road, Godolphin Lifetime Care will also open the doors at Craven House, where there will be various ex-racehorses on show. They include Dubai World Cup winners African Story and Prince Bishop, and Ascot Gold Cup winners Colour Vision and Papineau.

The other equine-related sites open around the town are Palace House, Jockey Club Rooms, National Stud and Longholes Stud.

Afternoon entertainment will take place close to the town centre in the main arena on the Severals and will feature the Waitrose Stable Staff Tug of War Games, Martin Collins Pony Club Games, Clipper Logistics Racing Personality Show Jumping, Fun Dog Show and Terrier Racing.

The hotly anticipated inaugural Pony Club Games, kindly sponsored by Martin Collins, kicks off proceedings before an inter-yard competition like no other, as trainers, jockeys, stable staff and kids all get involved in classic gymkhana team games.

Celebrity competitors in the Clipper Logistics Show Jumping include jockeys Andrea Atzeni, Josephine Gordon, Harry Bentley, last year’s winner Ryan Moore, and 2019 champion-elect Oisin Murphy. Other notable competitors include ITV Racing presenter Francesca Cumani, plus trainers George Scott and Amy Murphy.

Wristbands to the event are priced at £17, while under 12's go free. Programmes are £3.
