Doncaster Placepot picks: Paul Kealy has a crack at the £100k guaranteed pot

Surprisingly large fields given its good ground at Doncaster, and it won't make the Placepot easy.

In the opener (1.05) Father Of Jazz has had a wind op since his flop at Kempton, but he's still not an obvious candidate for nearly 2m1f on a galloping track, and preference is for Parramount and Joe Dadancer.

The former is very solid, while Joe Dadancer, who would have thrashed Ferns Lock (third favourite for the hunter chase at Cheltenham) in his point but for falling at the last in February, ran better on his second hurdles start after a wind op last time.

In the next (1.35) William Cody is the obvious one to beat, but don't rule out a big run from Dash Of Blue, who will be much happier back on decent ground.

In the third (2.05) there are a few likely improvers, but it ought to be hard to keep Gaelic Park out of the frame. He had good bumper form and has been getting his act together, last time finishing a fine second to a horse who won a handicap easily next time.

Arclight, favourite for the fourth (2.40), ended up with nothing to beat last time, but will still be hard to kick out of the frame so is banked on as well.

You can make cases for most in the fifth leg (3.15), but I'll leave out early jolly Saint Segal in favour of Before Midnight, Xcitations and Malystic.

That leaves a really tricky closing leg (3.45), so I'll go three-handed again.

Cosmic Outlaw is worth another chance back on decent ground, as is Rocked Up, while Just Jess looked all about stamina when scoring at Catterick last time.
