James Doyle and William Buick leave George Baker to rejoin agent Michael Haggas
James Doyle and William Buick have rejoined their previous agent Michael Haggas after parting company with George Baker.
It was announced in September last year that Baker would take control of the duo's bookings from Haggas following a transitional period, but the partnership has come to an "amicable" conclusion less than a year later.
In a joint statement the Godolphin riders said: "We started the season with our friend and former weighing room colleague George Baker booking our rides but things haven't really worked out the way we had planned.
"George is an absolute gentleman and we would both like to thank him sincerely for the time and effort he has put in. However, we both felt that it simply wasn't happening the way we had hoped.
"Michael knows us very well and has agreed to step in and look after our rides for the rest of the year, which gives us some breathing space. That will allow us to explore every eventuality before we appoint a new agent for 2020."
Baker said: "We chatted about it earlier today, the three of us, and they're going to go back to Michael Haggas for the rest of the year.
"The most important thing is we've remained very good friends and it's an amicable agreement. It's just come to an end, it just hasn't worked out unfortunately."
