Monday

Philip Hobbs sends talented hurdler Gumball back on the flat at Lingfield in the 1m4f novice stakes, and Oisin Murphy takes the ride as he looks to follow up victory at Kempton last time out. It will be a tough race as he takes on the smartly-bred pair Allieyf and Momtalik.

Action to start the week also comes from Wincanton and Wolverhampton.

Tuesday

Oisin Murphy, Tom Marquand and Richard Kingscote are a few of the names in action on Wolverhampton's six-race card on Tuesday evening.

In the afternoon Hereford and Hexham host jumps cards, while in Ireland racing comes from Clonmel.

Wednesday

Market Rasen stages the pick of Wednesday's action with two qualifying races which could attract some talented fields. There is also all-weather action from Kempton, Southwell and Lingfield.

Also, don't miss Wednesday's Racing Post as our team of experts give you a horse to follow for the season.

Thursday

Warwick's 3m handicap chase could attract a good field with £30,000 on offer for the event. Milansbar and Hammersly Lake are two of the interesting names among the entries. There is good prize-money throughout the card so the race could contain some smart novices.

Newcastle also stages jumping action while Chelmsford and Wolverhampton host racing on the all-weather.

Friday

Three-year-old Follow A Dream, who was a $625,000 purchase as a yearling, has credentials to progress into a smart filly this year for John Gosden, and the blue and orange silks of Smith, Tabor and Magnier could make a rare appearance at Lingfield. A full sister to US Group 1 winner Creative Cause, she is entered to run in a 1m2f novice stakes.

Other meetings on Friday are staged at Fontwell, Wetherby and Newcastle.

Saturday

It's World Cup night in Dubai with eight top-class races and five being at Group 1 level. The day will be a huge one for the Godolphin team who have big chances with Cross Counter and Blue Point, while Thunder Snow is among the antepost favourites to retain the World Cup.

In Britain, the flat season kicks off with Unibet Lincoln day at Doncaster. Charlie Appleby had a dominant year in 2018 and he could claim the prestigious mile handicap with current favourite Auxerre, who seeks his fourth consecutive victory.

Also on the card is the Doncaster Mile, the Cammidge Trophy Stakes, and Royal Ascot dreams could be made for juveniles making their debut in the 5f Brocklesby Conditions Stakes.

Kempton also stage a good flat fixture with the Listed Magnolia Stakes taking centre stage, while Southwell, Stratford and Uttoxeter also host fixtures.

Sunday

It is the second day of Doncaster's Lincoln meeting and the 1m4f conditions stakes could source some talented horses for the season ahead. The Ralph Beckett-trained Chemical Charge won this event in 2017, while Saigon City was victorious in the Class 2 contest a year ago.

Ascot hosts a seven-race jumps card, and with three Class 2 prizes on offer it is sure to contain some good fields.
