William Haggas and Tom Marquand were the toast of 56 stables in the Tote Ten To Follow competition after the trainer and jockey combined for success with Nahaarr in Saturday's bonus race, the Ayr Gold Cup. The 40.7 points the four-year-old scooped takes his total to a very useful 55.8 for the season.

Nahaarr's stablemate Addeybb also picked up points, landing the Doonside Cup for his first win in the competition and garnering 15 points for 1,275 stables.

Also hitting the mark for the first time this season was Elarqam in the Legacy Cup at Newbury. His success was even more popular as the performance brought 18.3 points to 1,528 stables.

The Roger Varian-trained Ascension took his record to two from two since being gelded in the summer with victory in a handicap at Ayr on Saturday, taking his tally to 27.3 points for 11 stables.

The Teleprompter1 team is still holding on to its advantage at the top of the table with a 15-point lead heading into the final month of the competition. That represents a respectable lead as barely five points cover the next four teams, with JD's Last Throw Of The Bottle heading the chasing pack.

However all could yet change with four bonus races still to be staged: the Tote Challenge Cup Heritage Handicap at Ascot on Saturday October 3, the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe the following day and finally the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot on October 17.
