Going update: Good to soft, good in places.
The going at Goodwood was changed to good to soft, good in places, from good to soft after the first race on Thursday following dry conditions overnight.
Light breezes have been drying the track out steadily throughout the previous two days of the festival, following heavy downpours on Monday evening.
Clerk of the course Ed Arkell suspected conditions may change during racing on Thursday after the going was declared good to soft in the morning, and added a cutaway to add fresh ground in the final furlongs.
Arkell said on Thursday morning: "The track dried back nicely during racing yesterday, and it's been dry overnight and quite breezy for a good length of time so it's now changed to good to soft [from soft, good to soft in places].
"There are chances of an isolated shower, but it could dry even more today. If the breeze stays and it warms up then I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't dry back a little further.
"We've now got a cutaway at the three-and-a-half furlong marker, so there's now six yards of fresh ground from there all the way to the winning post."

Galway festival latest
Support has arrived for Magic Tricks, who has been backed into favouritism for the Guinness Galway Hurdle Handicap (6.15).
The five-year-old was a classy novice last season and has been backed into 4-1 (from 13-2). He enjoyed a fine prep run on the Flat at Killarney earlier this month and bids to give Denise Foster her first winner of the meeting.
Market opposition to Rockshore Novice Chase (5.45) favourite Gin On Lime comes from Fan De Blues, who has been backed into 3-1 (from 7-2) for Willie Mullins.
The going on the jumps course is good, with watering commencing from 5am on Thursday, while on the Flat conditions are yielding.
With no rain overnight, conditions are forecast to remain largely dry for the remainder of the meeting.
The first race on day four of the festival is due off at 4.35.
