Jett makes all to land Grade 2 Devenish Chase at Fairyhouse

Jett made all to run out an emphatic winner of the Grade 2 Devenish Chase and give trainer Jessica Harrington a double on the day.

The eight-year-old, winning in Graded company for the first time, galloped his five rivals into submission under Robbie Power to finish four and three-quarter lengths clear of The Storyteller.

Harrington said: "We've finally found the key to him – small fields on good ground. He had no hassle today.

"He looks after himself jumping and is a bit too careful for big fields He's probably more of a three-miler and we'll keep him on the go over the summer. Robbie said he had plenty left at the finish."

Ordinary World came home in third with Snow Falcon in fourth on his first start since winning a Grade 2 at Down Royal in November.

Rashaan makes winning jumps return

Dual-purpose performer Rashaan was a ready winner of the Grade 2 Keelings Irish Strawberry Hurdle just four days after running on the Flat.

Winning over obstacles for the first time since August, the 16-1 shot hit the front approaching the final flight and stayed on well to finish a length clear of Not Many Left and land a big prize for trainer Colin Kidd.

The versatile Wicklow Brave, a previous winner of the Irish St Leger and Punchestown Champion Hurdle, fell early but horse and rider Patrick Mullins were quickly to their feet, appearing to be unscathed.

French Made reverses Triumph form

French Made sprang a minor surprise in the Grade 2 Rathbarry & Glenview Studs Juvenile Hurdle when reversing Triumph Hurdle form with market leaders Coeur Sublime and Gardens Of Babylon.

The Willie Mullins-trained 6-1 shot took the lead under Ruby Walsh with two to jump and stayed on well to beat Gardens Of Babylon by half a length, with Coeur Sublime a distant third.

"We were hoping she'd be placed but we knew she would stay and Ruby rode her prominently," said Mullins.

"She's only skin and bone and doesn't need a lot of training, but she is very genuine. Winning has opened doors for her. She'll probably go to Punchestown and maybe on to France after that."

French Made had finished eighth in the Triumph at Cheltenham and could step up to Grade 1 company on her next outing.

Holy One survives inquiry

The Holy One survived a lengthy stewards' inquiry to win the 2m novice handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse under Paddy Kennedy.

The Jessica Harrington-trained six-year-old edged slightly left into the path of Kuiper Belt who, ridden by Paddy's brother Jack, was mounting a challenge between the winner and third-placed John Ess.

After a lengthy inquiry into possible interference, the result stood, with 20-1 shot The Holy One winning by a neck.
