Crystal Ocean declared for Gordon Richards Stakes as Stoute eyes tenth victory
Sir Michael Stoute will bid for a tenth Gordon Richards Stakes on Friday after last year's winner Crystal Ocean was declared for the Group 3 at Sandown.
Crystal Ocean scraped home from Fabricate – who reopposes – last year and will face a field of seven, including Thundering Blue, Knight To Behold, Extra Elusive and Pivoine. France will also be represented in the ITV-televised contest through the Andre Fabre-trained Trais Fluors, a winner at Chantilly last time.
Last year's winner Addeybb is in the bet365 Mile, in which he may face impressive Doncaster winner Sharja Bridge.
Multiple Graded scorer Beat The Bank is set to reappear in the race, while Goodwood winner Regal Reality and Oh This Is Us – an impressive winner just last week at Lingfield on all-weather finals day – are also set to take their chances. The field is completed by Mitchum Swagger, Suedois and Zwayyan.
Ante-post favourite Bangkok was one of seven declared for the bet365 Classic Trial. John Gosden has left in Lingfield novice winner Travel On and Alfaatik, while Persian Moon and Prince Eiji are also engaged. Technician and Kuwait Currency complete the line-up.
