Unbeaten Cheveley Park Stakes winner Tenebrism will face 13 rivals in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket on Sunday.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained filly is the 11-4 favourite with most firms as she bids to extend her winning run to three.

Ryan Moore will ride the three-year-old and O'Brien has every chance of consolidating his excellent record in the fillies' Classic. The Ballydoyle handler has won five of the last six runnings.

The trainer will also saddle Tuesday, who won a maiden at Naas last time out, and she will be ridden by Dubai World Cup-winning jockey Frankie Dettori. He will, however, be without Toy as the Galileo filly is one of two who have not been declared.

Homeless Songs is the only other horse who will miss the Classic with trainer Dermot Weld confirming earlier in the week that he will wait for the French equivalent on May 15 instead.

The field size stacks up well with an average of 14.8 runners across the last ten years, with the biggest field of 17 in 2014 and 2012 and smallest of 11 last year.

Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Discoveries, the ride of Shane Foley, will bid to hand trainer Jessica Harrington a maiden victory in a British Classic.

The Godolphin-owned Wild Beauty, who will be steered by William Buick, is coming into this race with renewed confidence having landed the Fred Darling Stakes at Newbury earlier this month.

Group 3 Prix Imprudence winner Malavath is priced at 7-1 with most bookmakers and has been declared for trainer Francis-Henri Graffard, although he is not the only the French-trained contender as Tom Marquand will partner the Andre Fabre-trained Zellie.

Fabre will go in search of his second win in this race, having won the 2014 running when he saddled Miss France.

James Doyle will link up with George Boughey to ride Cachet, while Patton Stakes winner Juncture will be guided by Colin Keane.

'I couldn't have the filly in better form' - Graffard full of confidence in Malavath

Trainer Francis Graffard believes Malavath has every chance at Newmarket on Sunday.

She is set to make her first appearance in Britain, and is yet to finish outside the top three in her six starts.

"She has come forward plenty for her comeback run and really I couldn't have the filly in better form," said Graffard.

"Her way of going about things should help her stay and I think she should be there at the finish."

James Ferguson, who saddles Mise En Scene, spoke about her opportunity, but feels market leader Tenebrism is the one to beat.

"It is an open 1,000 Guineas and we have every chance of running a big race but, like us, I expect Tenebrism will get further this year than last and she is the filly to beat.

"Mise En Scene shows plenty of speed and is quick enough for a mile but, depending on how she runs in the Guineas, with her pedigree you could step up to a mile and a quarter afterwards."
