Ante-post favourite Emily Upjohn will face ten rivals in her bid for Classic glory in the Cazoo Oaks (4.30) at Epsom on Friday.

The unbeaten filly has been a shade of odds-on for the third British Classic of the season after a dominant display at Sandown on reappearance and in the Musidora Stakes at York.

John and Thady Gosden are doubly represented at the top of the market with current second favourite Nashwa, impressive winner of the Newbury Fillies' Trial, standing firm.

Aidan O'Brien is seeking a historic tenth victory in this race and as usual brings with him a strong contingent, with 1,000 Guineas third Tuesday heading a team of four.

Stablemate Concert Hall takes a big step up in trip after finishing third in the Irish 1,000 Guineas, while Cheshire Oaks winner Thoughts Of June and likely outsider The Algarve complete O'Brien's line-up.

Tom Marquand and Joseph O'Brien – the combination who won the St Leger in 2020 – team up with Blue Wind Stakes winner Tranquil Lady, the only other Irish challenger in the field.

As expected, Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Rogue Millennium, supplemented at the cost of £30,000, takes her place in the field and gives jockey Jack Mitchell a first ride in the contest.

Pretty Polly winner With The Moonlight holds her place too and is Charlie Appleby's and Godolphin's only runner in the contest.

4.30 Epsom, Friday: Cazoo Oaks racecard and betting

Kawida beat the Godolphin filly as a juvenile and connections have opted to head to Epsom for the Oaks rather than compete in last week's Prix Saint-Alary at Longchamp, with the hopes she can build on her reappearance third at the Prix Cleopatre in April.

The Ralph Beckett-trained Moon De Vega finished six and half lengths behind Thoughts Of June in the Cheshire Oaks and completes the Epsom line-up with the only one to miss out being the David Simcock-trained Ching Shih.

Pyledriver returns to scene of his greatest achievement for a repeat of last year's win in the other Group 1 on the card, the Coronation Cup.

He is among a field of six, just as he was last year where he showed a game attitude to rally and get up after being headed by the favourite Al Aasy.

He returns from a spell in Dubai where he acquitted himself well, under Friday's rider Frankie Dettori, in the Group 1 Dubai Sheema Classic finishing a length fourth.

Hukum finished just behind Pyledriver out in Dubai but it's hard to knock his British record – sevens wins from 12 starts – and he will put up strong competition for the connections of last year's narrow runner-up.

Manobo narrowly lost his unbeaten tag when upped to two miles for the first time in Dubai, he returns to Britain down in trip and is likely to go close.

Living Legend turned over heavy odds-on favourite Yibir last time out at Newmarket and High Definition was a neck away from landing his first Group 1 when losing out to Alenquer at the Curragh, and both showed much improved form last time out.

Palavecino fills the final spot in the field but would need to improve upwards of 10lb to trouble the main principals if they run to their best.

2 Emily Upjohn
3 Thoughts Of June

With The Moonlight is certainly bred for a task like this and shaped as though she should find the extra two furlongs within her compass. A daughter of Frankel, but out of a Flying Childers winner, she looks to have inherited plenty of staying power from the Galileo-Frankel line of her pedigree.
