Closing date for Godolphin Irish Stud and Stable Staff Awards fast approaching
The opportunity to reward those who are an integral cog in the racing wheel is quickly closing in for 2019, with nominations for the Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards Ireland required before next Monday.
The awards, which encompass ten categories and carry prize-money in excess of €80,000, are open to a wide range of people in the industry and showcase the talents of the high-skilled workforce in Irish racing.
Last year's Leads by Example Award winner Stephen Thorne, who works as assistant trainer to Ado McGuinness, said: "It's a great concept which has been well supported by Godolphin and I'm delighted to see it back on again."
He added: "The staff are the life and soul of the industry and they fully deserve to be rewarded for their efforts."
Chairman of the Irish Stablestaff Association Bernard Caldwell said: "With only a week to go to the nominations deadline, I would encourage everyone in the industry, including stable staff, trainers, breeders, owners and managers to nominate their colleagues in order to recognise the great employees we have in our industry.
"Online nomination is easy and only takes a few minutes but must be completed by the deadline of 5pm next Monday."
Nominations can be completed online at www.studandstablestaffawards.ie, or forms can also be downloaded from the website and returned to the marketing department in Horse Racing Ireland.
