Bryony Frost among nominees for BT Sport's Action Woman Awards
Bryony Frost has been shortlisted for BT Sport's Action Woman Of The Year award, which celebrates the achievements of inspirational female athletes.
The Cheltenham Festival-winning rider, who has struck up heart-warming partnerships with Grade 1 winners Frodon and Black Corton, is one of eight nominees for the awards that will be shown live on multiple platforms, including BT Sport 1 HD, on Monday, December 9.
Frost, 24, who made the front pages of national papers after her historic Ryanair Chase success on Frodon, will be joined by fellow equestrian Pippa Funnell, this year's Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials winner and a former Rolex Grand Slam eventing champion.
Also among the nominations are 200m world champion Dina Asher-Smith, cycling world champion Dame Sarah Storey and heptathlon world champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson.
Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “It has been an incredible, record-breaking year for women’s sport, both for individuals and teams. From football and horseracing, to motorsport and martial arts, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of our nominees and hope that their performances will inspire the next generation of athletes.
“We would encourage everyone to continue to show their appreciation and admiration by voting for their favourite sportswoman of 2019.”

closes at 11.59pm on December 1.
